Nell’attuale video di The Right Sound si parlerà di Contrabasso, uno strumento che in modo sempre più incisivo è entrato a far parte di tutti i generi musicali acustici, fermo restando una predilezione particolare per la musica classica ed il Jazz.

Di Dario Deidda si sa già molto; l’altro musicista, Beppe Mirra, anch’egli salernitano, dal curriculum classico invidiabile, qualcuno può averlo scorto nel Concerto di Natale che l’Orchestra del Teatro Verdi di Salerno ha tenuto lo scorso dicembre alla Camera dei Deputati.
Perché due musicisti di così diversa estrazione? Proprio per poter apprezzare uno strumento che nell’ultimo periodo è stato ampiamente usato in decine e decine di produzioni audio di qualsiasi genere, tale che anche software house mondiali, come ad esempio, la Spectrasonics con il suo Trilian, gli ha dedicato diverse librerie di campionamenti.
Vi invito a porre molta attenzione sulle diverse riprese fatte anche all’aperto, per sottolineare proprio quanto può offrirvi il Contrabasso in termini di sonorità e duttilità.

In this video we’ll be talking about the Double Bass, an instrument that has become more and more part of any acoustic music genre, notwithstanding a particular affection for classical and jazz music.
Still at Pasquale Faggiano’s studio, which can be visited at the link www.recoastudios.com, with an amazing quality of sound absorption in order to fully enjoy the several nuances the two players tried to highlight during their recordings. We do know already a lot about Dario Deidda; the other musician, Beppe Mirra, from Salerno as well, with an enviable classical curriculum, might have been spotted during the Christmas Concert that the Orchestra of the “Verdi” Theatre in Salerno did the last December at the Chamber of Deputies.
Why choose two musicians with too different background? Indeed the reason lies in the possibility to enjoy an instrument which has been recently overused in dozens of audio productions for any music genre, so much that worldwide software houses, such as the Spectrasonics with his Trilian, dedicated a lot of sample libraries to it.
My suggestion to you is to pay high attention to the different recordings which have been done also outdoor, in order to underline what actually the Double Bass can offer you in terms of sound and adaptability.
