This video aims to show you how to get a beautiful modern acoustic guitar sound with the basic version of the Apollo twin X Duo Core without spending extra money on additional plugins.
For the audio recording I used a Neumann TLM102 connected to the first entrance of the Apollo Twin and positioned in front of the 12th fret of the guitar to approx 20 cm of distance. You will hear the difference between using the UAD board preamp and the simulator UNISON of the valve Pre UA610-b which adds harmonics and sound presence thanks to the 2 potentiometers for the control of low and high frequencies: through UNISON simulation I in fact changed the impedance of the PRE giving more volume to the microphone. I then added the compressor UA 1176 SE Legacy to flatten the peaks slightly so that you can give more prominence to the treble of the guitar.

Finally the channel strip precision, used as eq, it allowed me to boost the bass a little bit in the frequencies close to 60hz and the mid-highs around 1k thus obtaining a sound suitable for the fingerstyle more direct and in the face.
Playing around with the plugin a bit too RealverbPro inserted inaux 1, with the preset "Etherity”Which adds that touch of modernity to the sound of the acoustic guitar by creating a carpet of modulated reverb that makes the sound fresher and new!
Here's how in 5 minutes you can follow the video step by step to have a beautiful modern sound for your recordings and live shows!
You can use this setup even if you're playing plectrum by simply lowering both the UA 610b's input gain and the 116's input gain by a notch!
Have fun!
