The value of the orchestral laboratory
In addition to the individual lessons, the real peculiarity of the festival remains the possibility of playing in a real string and wind orchestra resident, made up of local musicians and the participants themselves. This hands-on experience is essential for those studying solo or conducting repertoire.
Alongside teaching, the Cilento International Competition will offer the winners of the various sections diplomas, prizes and the opportunity to perform in the official concerts of the festival.
How to participate: Audiences and Concerts
With the registration deadline for active musicians now closed, the festival is now open to the public, enthusiasts, and late-arriving students:
- Listeners: You can attend all the masterclasses and lessons from the great Masters with a daily access fee of just €10.
- Concerts and Events: All the evening live events, conferences and sharing moments in Cilento and at the Baronial Palace are open to the public.

Lorenzo Sorbo
I attended a classical guitar masterclass with Maestro Luciano Tortorelli a few years ago and really enjoyed his teaching. Seeing his name in AgeofAudio's article about the Cilento International Music Festival in Torchiara brought back that memory. I'd be keen to attend another class with him.
We could do with more classical music workshops like those at the Cilento International Music Festival in Torchiara. For young people, meeting musicians and hearing them play up close can make a real difference. I'd love to see schools from around the world involved, giving students the chance to meet, play together and try different instruments.
Congratulations to Maestro Luciano Tortorelli and all the teachers who helped bring the Cilento International Music Festival & Competition 2026 to life in Torchiara. Masterclasses and classical music concerts give young musicians valuable opportunities to learn. I couldn't make it this year, but I hope to join you next time.
