Let's talk about the doozzoo workshop rooms today. An important resource for having group lessons online (or in hybrid mode) and taking advantage of all the musical features of the platform.
In order to create and manage workshop rooms, you must have a Pro or Edu subscription.
You can assign a custom URL to your workshop room and send it to 20 participants. Also for this important function students do not pay and no extra registration is required. The workshop room is certainly an excellent tool for hybrid lessons, for inviting new students to participate in lessons or for working with two class groups at the same time (one face-to-face and one online).
Through the subscription Edu educational institution can create workshop rooms for each course and invite within each room up to 25 participants. As in real life, the workshop room “Key” can be assigned to multiple teachers. In this way it will be possible to set up workshop rooms for several teachers dedicated to the study of harmony, theory, history of music, etc…
Even inside the workshop rooms you can use all the functions of the platform and manage each audio of each participant independently. This punctual management of the audio will allow great opportunities for interaction and study between the students and the teacher himself. The teacher will be able to listen to each student by muting the other participants and verify the work done in real time by hearing it without local latency problems.
To access the workshop rooms
- Create a subscription Pro or Edu if you are an educational institution
- Once logged into your account, click on the item "Workshop rooms"(Fig.1)
- Here you can create, edit, delete your workshop room (Fig.2)
NB With the Edu subscription, the Institute will be able to create unlimited workshop rooms
- Click now, still in the left column of your web page, on the item "Dashboard"
- Under the heading "select the room” choose the workshop room you just created (Fig.3)
- Now click on "start the session"
Also for the workshop rooms you will have to check the audio setup and video settings then click on "Continue” and you will find yourself inside the hall. (Fig.4)
The importance of this tool is quite evident. After the pandemic period has passed, having such a rich platform designed exclusively for music allows teachers and institutions to create new contacts and new remote collaborations no longer dictated by necessity but created for a new opportunity for growth and development.
